American workers put in some of the longest work-hours in the world. We also have a comparatively small amount of vacation time. In other words, we are overworked, not getting enough rest, and stress levels are high. Many of us are experiencing chaotic lives.
Fortunately, there is hope. Below are some tips on how we can bring some calmness and peace back into our lives.
Take breaks. Allow a few minutes for yourself. It can be as simple as taking a long hot bath or going for a walk. Take the time to reflect on the day and find some peace and quiet.Slow Down. Don’t try to do everything at once. We multi-task, but that doesn’t mean we do things better. Also, being pulled in many directions adds to the daily chaos of life.
